How to open .bat on Linux(Client Issue)
Well, first of all let me start of by saying I haven't even played the server but I have the Client on my Desktop and am trying to run it on my Linux System. I've tried using this Tutorial here: http://www.moparscape.org/smf/index.php/topic,367407.0.html but it is a bit difficult. If you can help, that'd be awesome. So far, I have tried converting the "run-32bit.bat" to an .exe and then ran it in Wine which did not work. Next, I tried editing the file just like it said in the tutorial. So this is what I put:
#!/bin/bash
java -Xmx300m Jframe 10 0 highmem members 32
pause
I may be doing something wrong :{ I hope not but I'm really looking forward to playing the server.

Give me the run.BAT code your trying to get into a .SH to work on your Linux.
Re: How to open .bat on Linux(Client Issue)
The code in Red makes it be a (.SH) File But here's the original:
@echo off
title Frozn Tyme Client
java -Xmx300m Jframe 10 0 highmem members 32
pause

pause

Thanks, I need to try some things out. I did what it said but everytime I click on the .bat file, I then click on Display and Terminal opens up saying: "File Not Found" -.- I guess I'll have to wait for a webclient... JAVA works 100%.

Actually, it is IMPOSSIBLE to view webclients on Linux. You can run.batch files but you see a webclient uses a .jar.

Webclients or Clients? Anyways, it's possible. All you need is Java installed and it works perfectly fine.Loveandpower wrote:Actually, it is IMPOSSIBLE to view webclients on Linux. You can run.batch files but you see a webclient uses a .jar.

A regular client that you download that has the.batch file can be converted to a .sh and be used though.
